I recently got home from So Cal where I had a great visit with my sister and family. I left Friday night to spend the night with the Sigona's. Man that Gavino is so cute. Short visit since I left the next morning at 6. Got on a plane and flew to Ontario where my sister picked me up. On Saturday we spend the whole day just hanging out. Got a pedicure, which was awesome, gambled a little, and spend about an hour in time looking for Red Lobster...sometimes a craving takes time. Then we headed back to my sisters to make a collage for my dad's memorial. We made two so that way we could both get one. They came out really good and I love mine. Its in the girls room so they can see grandpa everyday.

My sister and I outside in the beautiful Palm Springs weather

The bench that is dedicated to my dad! Its on the first hole of Desert Falls Country Club

speaks for itself

The extended Snavely family...back row: Step brother-Norm, brother John, Me, Sister in law JoLynn, next row- Twins Dylan and Tyler, Ryan (all Norms kids), Sandy, and Teri

The dedication was beautiful. There was about 200 people there and my dad would have loved it. I guess we was truly loved. Some people spoke, wished I would have said some things but I was too emotional. The story that sticks in my mind is from Norm, who said two days before they were talking about death and everyone there wanted to die in their sleep. But my dad said no way he wanted to die on the golf course. Well two days later he had his heart attack on the golf course...so his dream came true! Its interesting how things work out some times. At least I finally got some closure this year with both of my parents. I have lots of questions that can never be answered but maybe thats a good thing!
