Lake Oroville Fishing

Scott and Anthony went fishing yesterday on Lake Oroville. They were out there forever and came back with several fish. Scott got some pictures of Anthony. They caught about 45 fish so I thought today would be great fishing! But today wasn't as good as yesterday. We went out with Phil and Sandy. I started off the fishing with a spotted bass and then we continued on. Totals for the day were Sandy 7, Phil 4, Scott 5, and Jamie 10! Everyone caught a fish but the excitement came toward the end of the trip. As we were docked at the marina, Sandy had some bait left and gave me her fishing pole to get trying. Well I caught four fish on four tries. Below are the pictures. By the way I had to go the bathroom so we got off the boat and headed to a camp site. Scott told me this spot was fine and no rattlesnakes. I stepped on a rock and we heard the hiss, I was so scared. I moved around and found another spot and peed as fast as I could so we could get on the boat again! By the way I caught three species of fish today, sun-fish, bluegill, and smallmouth bass, so I only have one more for my goal on Oroville!
Anthony will a huge largemouth...look at the mouth on the fish

Native Rainbow...look at the colors

Spotted bass

Blue gill I caught at the docks...really good size...really good too...fish tacos..yummy!

First cast down at the dock. I thought it was a small fish but it was this huge spotted bass. I didn't think I was going to land it. Everybody on the dock was watching, including the marina help. We put it back in the lake.

Second cast at the docks....Sun fish...pretty colors

Small sun fish where we stopped so I could go the bathroom

Scott and his catch of the day until we docked!
