Vacation from Hell, Not really!

We started our Wshingotn adventure on Friday 7/13 driving to Grants Pass.  The girls were very excited as well as us.  We made it to the hotel but were only able to swim for a couple of minutes.  Bed time was 10:30.
Blueberries from our bush!  They are so good!
 Entering Oregon, so exciting!
We got up from Grants Pass to head to Lacey, Washington.  We dediced to have multiple stops on the way to break up the drive.  Out first stop, Enchanted Forest - a kids adventure theme park.  I thought the girls would love it because they really love the stories and princesses and castles.  Izze loved it, Michaela wasn't feeling well.
Isabelle with Humpty Dumpty
Candy land house...best part you can bring in your own lunch and have a picnic.
Going through Alice in Wonderland tunnel
Michaela and Scott headed to the car so Mickey could sleep.  Izze and I headed to the rides.  Log ride was up first.  So great and she was barely tall enough.  Our picture from the Enchanted Forest is so much better.
 Bumper boats was next
Train ride...then log ride again.  Mickey still wasn't feeling well but we continued on to Lacey.  Our next stop was suppose to be a garden but we cancelled that and headed to a berry picking farm.  We arrive and Mickey gets sick.  We clean the car out and decided to take a rest and pick berries.  Its really hot outside, I am sweating and after getting fluids into Mickey she gets sick.  We still don't know whats wrong, she has a temp and we think she is going to kick it.
Scott's favorite part of the trip picking berries
Raspberries yummy!  We head to a brewery in Olympia that Scott heard about, well its 18+ so we can't go in.  We sit down and another restuarant and Izze and I got to the restroom.  We come back and Mickey got sick all over Scott, we had to leave.  Go thing because we found this awesome BBQ place instead, taking it back to the hotel.
The next morning Mickey wakes up feeling great!  We head to the capital of Washington.  Thats the Sound in the back.
 Great picture of us
Mickey took lots of pictures this day, this one of her sister
Thats them in front of the capital
Another picture of Izze see Mikey's fingers...we head to a farmers market.  Its inside and I love it!  So much fruit!
Look at all the berries...we got golden raspberries and decided it was time to look for gooseberries.  It was Scott's mission for the trip
All of the berries on display
 View from the marina
 She doesn't look sick!
We made it Seattle!  Mariners game on the list!  Check.  Lots of fun
 Izze was at the game
 Mickey took this one
Trying to get a cute one of them but Izze was having a hard time smiling
 Mickey is at the game!
 Family picture
After the game we headed to our hotel in Kirkland.  We were there at 4 and decided to explore downtown Kirkland.  Lovely place but bad idea.  We sat down for dinner and Mickey fell asleep could not keep her head up.  We got our food to go to eat in the hotel.  A yummy salmon sandwich!  On monday Izze and I headed out on our own, while Mickey and Scott stayed in the hotel.  I read about this trampoline place, videos to come later, so we headed there.
 Foam pit very exciting
We headed back to downtown Kirkland and had lunch and played.  Guess where we went Noah's!
Us watching Izze's first movie in a theater, Ice Age!
 Playing at the park
 Climbing fool!
Such a cutie!  Well tuesday morning, Mickey had a fever for the 4th day!  We called an advice line and they said it was ok unless she had a fever of 105!  Well we decided it was time to go home..packed up all our stuff at 2:00 in the morning and drove all the way home.  We had a doctors appt that day and found out she had strep throat.  Both of them.  Then I got it and Scott.  We still had another 5 days to go on vacation so at least we didn't have to go to work.  Hopefully next time the girls don't get sick!
The girls on a ride at the rodeo in Fortuna.

Oh - what a trying holiday! But you seem to have had good humor about the whole thing. It looked like everyone had a little fun - well, except for Scott. Hope you are all feeling better!

Oh my goodness Jamie!! I'm glad you got some good parts in there! I love that you had a mommy Izzy day. I'm sure you guys don't get much one on one time with each of the girls. Hopefully next road trip will go much better!
