Yesterday Scott and I went out to Lake Oroville for some fishing! We had planned on going earlier this week and after finding out about my dad, Scott wasn't sure we should still go. He must not of know my dad very well because I don't think he would given up a chance to go fishing on the lake. So out of memory for my father we went! It was a different kind of fishing trip for us. We started off fishing for salmon. We had three poles out and after about 30 minutes we finally got a bite. Scott was so excited that he almost fell out of the boat. He starts reeling up and he sees silver and is so excited. I am getting the camera out and then we notice its just a bass. Well the good part is that we got the fish and nothing else. So we decided to fish for bass at different locations. The first place that we went we got 4 fish. I caught two, a small one, and this one pictured below. We measured it was a 16 inches! It could have been a keeper but we let it live. So that was the fish I caught for my dad! We went to a couple of other places but only caught 1 more fish. The lake was really busy because there is a bass tournament there this weekend. As you can tell from the picture the lake is coming back up. Hopefully we can get out there a couple more times. I would like to go to Almanor in memory of both my grandpa and dad. They both loved that lake and plus its really good trout fishing...more the style of my dad. Overall a good day out on the lake and a good way to remember the man I called "Dad".
We have started giving the girls some fish sticks, well they love it. They love it so much that Izze just stuffs her face with everything on her tray. Can you tell that her mouth is full?
