Opening Weekend!

Its opening weekend for fishing on streams. We went fishing on Lake Oroville on Friday, pictures are below. On Saturday we went fishing on Indian Creek up by Antelope Lake. It was a 3 hour drive, so we had to get up at 4:15 am. I almost told Scott "nope I'm not going its too early", but I made it. It was freezing up there...29 degrees when we got out of the truck. We got 9 fish in total but only keep two and guess who caught those two....ME!
One rainbow and one brown

Beautiful rainbow, big too

My big brown, scott says its huge but the picture doesn't do it justice

My first German brown ever...fish trout of the year

Friday we were on the Lake and we caught 12 spotted bass. This was my first catch of the year. Pretty good size but Scott got a bigger one.

Two fisted! We both caught one at the same time but couldn't take a picture together because the wind was controlling the boat so Scott had to take over. This is my favorite picture of the weekend!

The biggest bass of the day. To bad we weren't in a tournament. We would have won! Ha

First fish caught of the season, way to go Scottie!

After leaving Indian Creek we headed back home stopping at some spots. This is Indian Falls, we tried to fish but nothing. I got a bite but couldn't land the fish.

Overall a great weekend! We hope that we can go out again soon. I understand why Scott and Chris try to do this trip every year. We had a great time and the weather was beautiful even though it was cold in the morning. Thank you to our babysitters, Elaine on Friday and Grammy on Saturday!

Looks like good times! I know Ant was wishing he could have been out there on opening weekend. But, he decided a little time with the wifey and baby would do him some good. We even had time to go to bed bath and beyond! LOL ;-)
