Today is our last day in Humboldt! We are moving tomorrow with a moving truck and everything we own. Its been a long time coming and I can't believe its actually here. I can't its been 8 years since I moved up here and I am finally leaving. I am really going to miss the ocean. Here is a list of everything that has happened to me each year up here:
1999- on the first day I met my best friends, Brandi and Lacey. Who knew we would end up so close. They are family.
2000- thanks to the twins, my mom and I got to go to South Carolina. A trip I will never forget!
2001- Went to Virginia...thank gosh the twins played softball. I got to travel all over the place. Almost got fired from my umpiring job...thank gosh I didn't because then Scott and I would never have gotten together.
2002- Scott and I start dating! Best year of my life.
2003- Scott proposes! I started coaching at Eureka High and things changed for me. I met the greatest mentor, Kristie, and got to work with a lot of cool people. That includes all the players I coached.
2004- Graduated from HSU finally and got married
2005- Got my credential and bought our first house
2006- Worked my first full year as a teacher.
2007- Went river rafting with my family and celebrated my 30th birthday!
2008- Only thing I can think of is.....having the girls! best thing to date!
I have really enjoyed my time here in Humboldt and as this chapter closes in my life and know that new chapter will be better and more exciting. Chico is where we belong. So on that note thanks Humboldt County for all the good times. I will never forget you!!

Jamie love your blog...it's a perfect summary of the goodness that humboldt county gave you! Goodbye humboldt...thanks for all the good memories!
What a great post! While I was reading this to Brandi I had to pause a few times because I was getting choked up! Great times in Humboldt...but I am so glad that you guys are moving closer so we can see you regularly! Love you lots!
Now I know that I have pregnancy hormone overload but I seriously almost cried reading your "bests of Humboldt." I can't even put into words what your friendship has meant to me and I am thankful everyday that we were lucky enough to be suitemates! Can't wait to be able to see you on a regular basis! LOVE!!
