First Mother's Day!

Here with my girls on my first Mother's Day! I had been preparing all week for Mother's Day because I was sure it was going to be a hard day. I thought about my mom most of the day but kept remembering I should be happy because I know that's what she would have wanted. So Scott and I decided to set out on an adventure. Our first trip was the Eureka Zoo, which sucks because nothing is there. Plus the gift shop doesn't sell batteries, what kind of place is this Humboldt County.
I was really frustrated so we left. Scott had this idea to go out to the headwaters at Elk River so we went to Murphy's and got a sandwich and drinks. It was perfect! We got out to the headwaters trail and had our lunch in the car. The sun roof was open and the baseball game was playing in the background. We talked about our future which is changing really quickly but we love it.
After lunch we decided to head out on the trail. We have been trying to hike around Humboldt so I can get some excerise and to get out of the house but everything is really bumpy around here, except for the headwaters. The trail is paved for the first mile. It was great! The girls had fun and I know this because they slepted the whole time. We actually saw two people we knew on the trail.
We decided to head home after about an hour out there. Scott made me dinner and desert! Last night was bath night, so we got the girls ready and they fell asleep pretty quickly. They only got up once last night at 2:30 and Scott got up for that so I was able to get a whole nights sleep. Hope everyone that is a Mother had a great day!

You and Scott look so natural as parent of twins - I'm sure everyone you meet is very jealous!
I can't wait to see you and the girls!
